Confirmed: Matt Stone and Trey Parker have teamed up with Comedy Central to launch what could be the greatest website ever - South Park Studios, which promises to bring every single episode of South Park online, in full high definition streaming video, at absolutely no cost to the viewer.

The full episodes will only be available on the site, and not be embeddable, but shorter clips will be made available to other sites in an embeddable video player.

The creators of the hit show, Parker and Stone will be splitting all profits from on-site advertising revenue 50/50 with Comedy Central, and considering the growing popularity of illegal sites, the move could be a masterstroke for the duo, who were once quoted as saying “It doesn’t bother us if people download the shows illegally”.

This could be a lesson to other TV networks who see online piracy as a serious threat to their livelyhood, as Comedy Central has effectively made the pirate sites obsolete in one fell swoop.

In addition to hosting the shows, South Park Studios also plays host to official flash games, downloads and episode guides. There are also plans to use the site as a launchpad for future animation series from Comedy Central. (source: SlashDot)

Tidak ada gunanya pemblokiran ini karena Youtube adalah sarana pengetahuan. Pemblokiran ini secara tidak langsung membuat negara kita menjadi lebih bodoh.

Rakyat tidak dilarang melihat sarana pengetahuan umum, tapi di didik pake moral etika! itu adalah tindakan yang sebenarnya, bukan pemblokiran website seperti ini..

Habis myspace dan youtube mau apalagi ? wikipedia? facebook? google? CNN?
