Allright, I presume you know the “Hi, I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC”-opening tag, right?

NO? :o
Go google, or youtube, you make the choice,
watch three or four episodes of it, and go back here…

[waiting...] :-"

Oh you’re back already? Nice…

Okay, so, you get the idea: “Mac is better, PC sucks”, “Mac is stylish, PC is too corporate”, etc..etc..etc… practically, nothing but advertisement, a long and painful ad, filled with overflown rubbish and never ending vicious circle of brand-war (just like Nikon vs. Canon).
(btw, open-source fan… you know, you guys are nice and all… but don’t even start commenting that opensource are better and shit…just…screw your open-source prophecy, allright?!)

Mac and their interface is nice. I mean, REALLY nice. If you even can use the word sexy on things, I’d say they are smoking hot…. euh, well… “OK” is better off, I think :P
In contrast, PC and whatever operating system you might having running (mostly WinXP, or Vista), is basically dead-old-boring-same-look-and-feel…

Hell with that! Cut it out already! It’s about productivity.

I mean, okay, I can’t afford to buy a cutting-edge Mac right now, nor a better PC, (so you start blaming me for the flame against Mac?) but it’s not like even if I can buy one that will increase my productivity anyways. I need to learn and adapt all the things that the other platform has to offer, and by doing so, I can’t work on stuffs in order to produce something. It goes both ways: Mac to PC and PC to Mac (or you can read it PC = Windows).

I was idling at some IRC channel the other day (yes, IRC is still alive), and this some guy started to annoy the shit out of me; an opensource prophet. He was asking me if I’m using Photoshop. Yes, I answered. Waste of money, you can’t get into the source code to make a fix, even if you do, you can’t submit it and or share it with other people…. Enough of that bullshit already. So what, do I need to get GIMP? (sounds like WIMP for me)
Working with GIMP (or PC, switching from Mac, or on a Mac, switching from PC), will, as I have stated upfront, consume quite some time: to adapt to the new environment to familiarize yourself with the settings, etc… that will cost me money, for sure.

To wrap it up: stop the brand wars already. OS/2 Warp was originally developed by Microsoft. Microsoft’s DOS was originally IBM’s, OS/X’s Widgets and Yahoo’s Widgets was back then called Konfabulator. Everybody is stealing inspired from everybody else.

I hope you got my point :D

And may I present… my favorite of all the Mac vs PC videos :
