No more Bootcamp for Tiger
Apple Inc.’s Bootcamp 1.4 (Beta) is no longer available for download, not for Tiger (OS/X 10.4.x) at least.
Apple has confirmed that Windows partitions created with Boot Camp will continue to work. However, the Boot Camp Assistant, software that sets up and manages Windows partitions, will not. Apple also has said that it will stop delivering driver updates to beta users.
Apple doesn’t have any plans to sell a separate Tiger-only version of Boot Camp!
The good thing is, the new cat of Apple, Leopard, scheduled to release today (Friday, Oct 26th, 2007) has the Bootcamp hardcoded
Something to cheer up? or something to be frowned about?

SWPA Entry - I - “Urban Movement”

So there I go, my VERY FIRST photo submission into an international photo contest…EVER. (Imagine that!)
Got the link from a friend via YahooMessenger, and I thought, “what the heck”. If I win, I win; If I don’t, tough shit ![]()
Registration went not that smooth. Somehow is my mailserver / mailexchanger / whatever that thing that controls my e-mail traffic ain’t working as it should be. After registering, I should be receiving a confirmation email from the server containing my password. Well, no. I tried to register again, with the same details, and the server refused to do so (well do’h, logically). So, I just enter any information, and edit them later. ![]()
The joy of being logged in stayed not for long. After a short discussion with a quite-close friend, I decided to upload one photo. It went also not very smoothly (pffff….)
The requirements are the photo should be in .jpeg, with the file size of 800-1200KB. Thus, in the “Help” section, it says that they are recommending to reduce the dimensions down to 1000px max either width or height. So said, and done. And what’s next? The output jpeg, even at Photoshop’s JPEG option level 12, is not even close to 500KB (WTF!?)
So, after carefully reading the requirements, it says nothing about the dimensions… they only recommend it ![]()
What the heck, I just reduced it to 3000px, and yes sir.. it saved to 1100KB ![]()
Next? Submitting the work, et voila, it works…
Now, let’s hoping that my entry is selected (that’ll be something allright, my first submission)
Here’s what I’ve submitted (click to enlarge)

“Hi, I’m Mac”, “And I’m PC…shut up!!”
Allright, I presume you know the “Hi, I’m a Mac, and I’m a PC”-opening tag, right?
NO? ![]()
Go google, or youtube, you make the choice,
watch three or four episodes of it, and go back here…
[waiting...] ![]()
Oh you’re back already? Nice…
Okay, so, you get the idea: “Mac is better, PC sucks”, “Mac is stylish, PC is too corporate”, etc..etc..etc… practically, nothing but advertisement, a long and painful ad, filled with overflown rubbish and never ending vicious circle of brand-war (just like Nikon vs. Canon).
(btw, open-source fan… you know, you guys are nice and all… but don’t even start commenting that opensource are better and shit…just…screw your open-source prophecy, allright?!)
Mac and their interface is nice. I mean, REALLY nice. If you even can use the word sexy on things, I’d say they are smoking hot…. euh, well… “OK” is better off, I think ![]()
In contrast, PC and whatever operating system you might having running (mostly WinXP, or Vista), is basically dead-old-boring-same-look-and-feel…
Hell with that! Cut it out already! It’s about (more…)
Cheap Alternative Energy Source

Linked from here
More about this story can be read at Popular Mechanics
Partially? Well, this generator, turbine, or whatever you would like to name it, has to be built first
(well, do’h!!)
This would definitely do a lot of good deeds for the third world area, a cheap yet sustainable source of electricity generator.
OK, the electric-currect is there, but how about the rest? Like, for ease, lamps, radio, etc? But heck, a jump start is always going to be sponsored by some company anyways…
(I wouldn’t jump off my chair seeing a lightbulb with a sponsor tag “This Lamp is Sponsored by BlaBlaBlaBla - somewebsiteaddress.com”
