Nokia E71 VoIP Settings

Catagories: Internet, Life, Mobile / February 10th, 2009

Okay, let get honest… You want to call using the voip on your E71 or whatever Voip-enabled GSM, right?
Because it’s cheap(er) or even free to call landlines or whatever, right?
After quite some time trial and a lot of errors, I finally got it (I hope :P;)

STEP 1
Open the SIP Settings (Tools / Settings / Connection / SIP settings).
Make a profile (something like this)

Profile Name: My VoIP Profile
Profile: IETF (keep it at the default)
Access point: (your AP name)
Public user name: username@sip.voipprovider.com
(replace the username with your own username, and the domain with the one provided by your provider; SMSListo, VoIPStunt, etc.)
Use Compression: No
Registration: Always on
(or the other one, if you want it to be on-demand)
Use Security: No

STEP 2 - surprisingly enough, if I keep the proxy empty, I get connected.

Proxy Server Address: none
Registrar Server:none
Realm: none
User Name: none

(or just skip this part)

STEP 3 - Here’s the “real deal”

Registrar Server: sip.voipprovider.com (afterwards it will show sip:sip.voipprovider.com)
Realm: sip.voipprovider.com
User Name: username
(Instead of username example, use your real username / account number, see step 1)
Password:
come on… isn’t it obvious?
Transport Type: UDP
Port: 5060

STEP 4 - Setting up the internet telephony

Tools / Settings / Connection / Internet Tel. Settings
Create a new profile for “VoIP Call (username)”, name it “VoIP Call” (or whatever is easier for you to remember)

Choose “My VoIP Profile” as Preferred profile (the profile name you entered in step 1)

STEP 5

(Optionally, you can reboot your phone. I got mine directly ‘registered’.)

Go to Tools / Settings / Call / Default call type
Select Cellular to make normal calls, Internet to use VoIP to call.

DDDDDDDDDDDRrrrrrrrrrrriiiinggggggggggggggggg !!!

NOTE

Nokia phones, hardware wise whereas available, are designed and engineerd to be able to connect to VOIP gateways. Either WiFi, 3G. However, there are extra tweaks available. Go to this URL and tweak wisely! http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.nokia.com/id/d476061e-90ca-42e9-b3ea-1a852f3808ec/SIP_VoIP_Settings.html

*sorry… no nice pics and stuff… too busy figuring things out

Harddisk Recovery Bad Sector

Catagories: Desktop, Internet, Life, Operating system, Windows / December 8th, 2008

note: the following post is done in Bahasa Indonesia. I’m working for the translated English version. :D

Sharing Recovery HDD Bad sector

Note:

Background Information:

  • Harddisk Fujitsu bawaan laptop HP Pavilion dv6715ed
  • Interface SATA, 160GB
  • Partition layout: 2 - System dan HP_RECOVERY
  • File system: NTFS
  • Operating system: Vista Home Premium OEM

Kronologis:

ΔΔ / DDx (differential diagnosis):
Mungkin penyebabnya adalah sbb:

  • partition table corrupt (easyyyy)
  • MFT corrupt (easyyyyyy)
  • bad sector (oh sheeeiiiittt!!)

Partition tables dibiarkan seperti apa adanya.

Recovery Trials: (urutan trials mungkin tidak akurat, but that’s not the point)

  • Normal
    Seperti sudah dicoba sebelumnya di recovery manager: chkdsk /f tidak bisa memperbaiki error ini;
  • Copy Partition dengan PiNG (Partimage Is Not Ghost)
  • GetDataBack for NTFS 3.40 dan Recover My Files 3.98
(LHA AKU WES EDHIAN OPO YO?!? waiting)

Setelah yang punya harddisk pasrah menunggu 1 minggu tanpa hasil, akhirnya dia menyerah, “Ya sudah lah, format ulang aja, ntar gua beli HDD baru”. And so it happened.

(lah? gila apa… kan belum lu recover datanya, kok lu apus Djo?)

Setelah partisi dihapus, dijalankanlah lagi Recover My Files.

  • Ubuntu - http://www.ubuntu.com/

Penutup:

  • Jangan panik.
  • Moral of the story: BACKUP, BACKUP, and make backup of the backup.

… permisi… saya mengundurkan diri dulu whistling

Monster Ancol dan Roy Suryo

Catagories: Internet, Life / November 28th, 2008

Berita heboh akhir2 ini di Indonesia,

Monster Ancol

Unbearable Distance

Catagories: Life / September 19th, 2008

How tired I am of this unbearable distance between us
How I long for the toll of the recess bell
Have you forgotten me?
Grown mindless of me?
Tell me I am not writing into an abyss
Or that is what will become of my heart…

Now tell me, ain’t that beautiful and cute at the same time, or are you just another cold hearted bastard? ;))
