The Indonesian Students Association in the Netherlands is proud to organize the Malam Seni Indonesia – A Cultural Experience. Malam Seni Indonesia aims to attract a diverse audience including Dutch students and public, the Indonesian community in the Netherlands, and international students who are studying in the Netherlands.

We cordially invite you to take part in this exceptional event. During this Cultural Experience we will hold several traditional dances from across the archipelago and photo exhibition. All performances and photography are done by Indonesian students.

When and Where

This cultural and artistic event will be held at Erasmus University Aula, campus Woudestein, Rotterdam on May 19, 2006. More details here

Who We Are

The Indonesian Students Association in the Netherlands or better known by its native acronym as PPI Belanda (Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia di Belanda) is a network organization of over a thousand Indonesian students spread in nine major Dutch cities. It has been established among others to promote mutual cooperatives and encourage cultural exchange between Indonesian students and Dutch host communities. Over the years, the Association has had the honor organizing a variety of cultural events. Malam Seni Indonesia is meant as a focal point of this endeavor.

Aims of the Event

Through quality cultural presentation we aim to reach the general public with Indonesian performing arts whilst supporting a social cause in Indonesia. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to an accounted program that provides scholarship for elementary education in remote areas of Indonesia. The program itself is subject to public scrutiny and periodical report is also sent to the Indonesian Students Association in the Netherlands.
